Duane Tinker, a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), completed his EMT training in 1994 during his senior year of high school. Over the years, he has amassed extensive experience in various pre-hospital roles, both in paid and volunteer positions in law enforcement, firefighting, and EMS. Duane's background includes working on basic life support ambulances, advanced life support ambulances, and critical care transport ambulance services. He has worked in 911 and interfacility transport environments. In the late 1990s, he earned certification as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher, serving as a 911 dispatcher from 1999 to 2002.

Currently, Duane is a volunteer firefighter/EMT in his hometown. Notably, since 2018, in response to updated sedation safety and medical emergency training needs for Texas dentists he has taken on the role of training dentists and their staff on Medical Emergency Preparedness, demonstrating his commitment to improving patient safety and emergency response knowledge and skills within the dental community.
